Hyundai Venue Beats Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300

Hyundai Venue successfully jumped over two of the most-desired compact SUVs of India, leaving just Maruti Vitara Brezza ahead for the month of May 2019. The car was good for 7,049 units while Brezza registered just 8,781 units. The latter was seen posting a huge five digit numbers in the last few months but now, the difference between both the models is lower than ever. On the other hand, Mahindra XUV300 registered 5,113 units while Tata Nexon was good for 4,506 units. The popular Ford EcoSport registered 3,604 units. All the cars have decent numbers in comparison to other segments as buyers are preferring SUVs over any other car type in India.

However, the top-spec models are more or less similar in pricing to Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. The most expensive model here is XUV300 and still, they don’t offer an automatic variant for the car. Hyundai Venue is available with naturally-aspirated petrol, turbocharged petrol, and diesel engine, with the second one being the most powerful and practical option among all. The wheelbase measures 2500mm while the ground clearance is 190mm for the car. The rivals are also limited to a sub-4m length but width and height differ a lot in all of them. Hyundai Venue comes with a radical design as the front comes with a split headlight, which is actually a segment first for the Indian market. Tata Harrier is the only car to feature the same here and soon, MG Hector will bring an even bolder face for the buyers. Hyundai Venue is yet to be launched with a diesel automatic option.
