2017 New Hyundai i30 has been officially revealed before its world premiere at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The car features an all new face with cascading grill at the front while its complete dimensions were also revealed with the design. It measures 4340 mm in length, 1795 mm in width and 1455 mm in height. The car is now 40 mm longer and 15 mm wider than its predecessor while the height has been lowered by 15 mm.
The wheelbase remains identical and the boot space now counts to 395 liters, 15 liters more than the strict rival Volkswagen Golf. The car’s interior looks absolutely stunning and even the company claims it to be the best in class with features like optional 8 inch touchscreen, premium audio system, rear view camera and optional panoramic sunroof.
The car is also claimed to be the safest one among the competition with autonomous emergency braking, smart cruise control, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, high beam assist and front collision warning system. Driver attention alert is also being provided which supervises the driver’s condition through various factors like lane position, steering angle, driving time and torque, warning the driver thorough sound and message.
Hyundai i30 is internationally available with three petrol and three diesel engines. These are available with 6-speed manual transmission as well as an optional 7-speed DCT. Hyundai is soon expected to bring the i30 under the ‘N’ performance brand. As of now, Hyundai has no plans to launch the i30 premium hatchback in India.
