Hyundai has revealed the new Grand i10, which stays with the name i10 for the UK market, the car is a facelift version for the current generation Indian Grand i10 and may get launched in India very soon. The car competes against Volkswagen Up, Kia Picanto and Skoda Citigo in the UK market.
The exterior changes include a redesigned front bumper with neatly added circular DRL’s into the upper half of the grill. The fog lamps are now Elantra inspired while the housing has been shaped to look like a boomerang. The rear bumper now comes with circular fog lamps and a black surrounding for number plate as well as the fog lamps. Rear glass has been given a faux extension into the C-pillar of the car.
The interior has not been changed much but the customers would be offered new shades in the interior trims, along with a new 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and 7 year live traffic report subscription. We can expect the Indian version to skip the live updates and the DRL’s as the cost cutting strategy.
The UK version of new i10 (Grand i10 for India) also comes with enhanced driving with updated steering feel, front collision warning and lane departure warning system. It uses the same engines as the existing ones, hinting about the same to be done on the Indian version.
