Hyundai has finally unveiled the 2017 all-new Verna sedan in China @ 2016 Chengdu Motor Show. It is expected to go on-sale in China by the end of this year and the company would be launching the new Verna in India by mid-2017.
The exterior of the new Verna continue to remain same in comparison to the concept car, which was showcased @ 2016 Beijing Motor Show that took place in April this year. It features all-new styling inspired from the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. 2017 Verna features the latest sleek headlamps with projector lighting, hexagonal grille inspired from Audi, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, sporty bumpers, redesigned C-pillar and a boot-integrated spoiler.

Coming to its dimensions, the new Verna measures 4380 mm, 1728 mm and 1460 mm in length, width and height respectively. The wheelbase of the car stands at 2600 mm. Hyundai has also revealed the interiors of the car, which look very promising and are inspired from the all-new Elantra. 2017 Verna comes with all-new steering wheel, centre console, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and engine start/stop button.
Powering the new Verna would be 1.4 litre or 1.6 litre petrol engine with a capability to generate 100 HP and 123 HP in China mated to 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. However, the Indian variant of Verna is expected to have 1.4 litre or 1.6 litre CRDi diesel engines as well. Hyundai is likely to begin the sales of its next-gen Verna by the end of this year in China and may be next year in Indian and Russian markets.
