2018 Hyundai Tucson facelift was recently unveiled at New York Auto Show. It now comes with slight update of design and sharper look, all thanks to its redesigned front and rear headlights. Front now gets Hyundai’s familiar hexagonal grill that actually suits the crossover profile more than any other car in their lineup.
This time, it was finished completely in chrome and touched both headlights and number plate area at the same time. Lower section of Tucson’s bumper now gets majority black treatment for bold upper facial expressions. Headlights are now full LED and offers newly designed daytime running lights on the inside.
Side profile is highlighted with all new diamond cut alloy wheels and everything else remains exactly the same. Rear flaunts new LED pattern of tail light section while bumper also receives minor changes for added sporty feel.
Hyundai Tucson facelift now comes with a wireless charger, better sound system from Krell and 7 inch floating display for updated interior feel. Optional features like 8 inch display with 3D maps is also equally mouth watering for technology lovers. As engine choices are market dependent, Hyundai may not offer the updated engines for Indian market.
Hyundai offers 6-speed manual as well as 8-speed automatic gearbox on new Tucson. India spec car uses a 2.0L, four cylinder engine producing 185 PS and 400 Nm. It is still the most powerful engine on offer.
It is available with or without all wheel drive option. Internationally, 1.6L, four cylinder diesel engine is now available with 115 PS and 132 PS of maximum power in two different tunes.
The lesser powerful version is available with 6-speed manual gearbox while more powerful one comes with 7-speed automatic. These option are also available with all wheel drive as additional equipment. A 2.0L petrol is also available.
