2020 Hyundai Creta Bookings Open in India; Interior Images Revealed

The first-ever interior images of the upcoming second-gen 2020 Hyundai Creta has been officially revealed by the brand. The updated SUV has been listed on Hyundai’s official website while the bookings have also commenced at the dealerships with a token amount of INR 25,000. The brand is expected to unveil the price tags of the SUV on March 17, 2020, at the official launch event.

Comparing the interior of the 2020 model of Creta with its Chinese sibling, the Hyundai ix25, the India-bound SUV has been offered a completely different outlook when compared to the latter though the exterior profile remains almost similar.

The brand has equipped the second-gen Creta with a black and beige colour scheme inside the cabin that is carried not only to the dashboard but to the premium leather seats also. In addition to this, the seats have been adorned with criss-cross diamond stitching inspired from the ix25.

The SUV has been equipped with a leather-clad steering wheel design that is similar to one offered to the Hyundai Sonata and features the audio, calling, menu navigation, and cruise control buttons. The SUV features a 7.0-inch instrument console which will be offered as a fully-digital unit in the top-spec variants.

The brand will offer paddle shifters with the automatic variant of the SUV while the manual gearbox option will be available with a remote engine start system. The top-spec variant of the 2020 Hyundai Creta is expected to get disc brakes at the rear as well while the customers will be able to operate the SUV in multiple riding modes.

The top-spec versions of the Creta will also come equipped with a smart panoramic sunroof which can be enabled via voice command while the cabin will be equipped with an air purifier as well as ambient lighting.

For enhanced comfort, the brand has equipped the SUV with a cooled glovebox, LED reading lamps, reclining seats, rear window sunshades and more. The SUV further features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment landscape display as well as an 8-speaker Bose sound system. The brand has equipped the second-gen Creta with Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology that offers riding aids and is currently present in the Hyundai Venue.

In addition to offering the SUV in two dual-tone colour options namely Polar White with Phantom Black and Lava Orange with Phantom Black, the SUV will also be available in 8 single tone colours which includes Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black, Lava Orange, Titan Grey, Galaxy Blue, Red Mulberry and Deep Forest.

Mechanically, the all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta will now available in the market with three BS6-compliant engine options. In terms of performance, the 1.5-litre petrol engine will be capable of offering maximum power of 115HP and 144Nm of peak torque, the 1.5-litre VGT diesel will be good for 115HP of power and 250Nm of utmost torque and lastly, the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol engine will be offering 140HP of power and 242Nm of peak torque.

All the engine variants will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the customers can further avail the 6-speed AT with 1.5-litre VGT diesel engine, an IVT gearbox with the 1.5-litre petrol engine, and a 7-speed DCT with the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol version of the SUV.
