2020 Hyundai Creta SUV to Launch in India on March 17, 2020

The 2020 Hyundai Creta SUV has been recently unveiled by the brand at the Auto Expo while the reports suggest its official launch to take place on March 17, 2020. The SUV has been awarded an all-new design language at the front while the major characteristic traits have been borrowed from the China-spec Hyundai ix25.

The all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta has been equipped with a redesigned grille at the front while the old headlight cluster has been replaced with a split LED headlight setup. In addition to this, the updated SUV has been equipped with all-new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels while the flared wheel arches offer it a more sporty outlook. The brand has also repositioned the Hyundai “logo” at the rear while the unique LED taillight setup with prominent accents all over the body panels imparts it a futuristic look.

Coming to the interiors of the updated SUV, the brand has imparted it with a rather simpler design when compared to the interior designing traits of the Hyundai ix25. The India-spec model of the 2020 Hyundai Creta features a minimalistic look inside the cabin with a traditional touchscreen infotainment unit that replaces the large portrait touchscreen seen in the ix25.

The SUV further features multiple driving modes while gets a 360-degree reverse parking camera. The 2020 Hyundai Creta measures 4,300mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,620/1,635mm in height while the wheelbase now stands at 2,610mm. Once launched in India, the 2020 Hyundai Creta SUV will compete in the market with the likes of Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500.

The SUV will be available to the customers in three powertrains with the 1.5-litre petrol engine that offers a maximum power of 115HP and 144Nm of peak torque, a 1.5-litre VGT diesel that generates 115HP of power and 250Nm of utmost torque as well as a 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol unit good for 140HP of power and 242Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while the customers can also avail the 6-speed AT, IVT gearbox and 7-speed DCT as an option.
