The 2020 Hyundai i20 is all set to be unveiled by the brand at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show that is expected to take place in March. Ahead of the unveiling, the official images of the all-new fan favourite hatchback from the brand have been revealed online.
Judging from the overall new look of the next-gen i20, the hatchback looks more appealing when compared to its present-gen version while gets a more striking front profile. The 2020 Hyundai i20 has been equipped with sharper accents on its body panels while getting a distinctive look at the rear as well.
The brand has equipped the updated hatchback with a larger grille at the front which is now much wider and mated to a revised bumper design that is a bit sportier when compared to the present-gen i20. The updated hatchback now features bigger air intake while the headlight setup is now much sharper.
Coming to the rear, the 2020 i20 features a uni-piece tail light at the rear with an LED strip connecting the two units in a “Z” pattern. The tailgate has been further equipped with a roof spoiler that might not be available across all the trims.
In addition to this, the 2020 Hyundai i20 will be available to the customers in dual-tone colour schemes giving a faux longer look to the hatchback. The brand has not revealed the interior specifics of the updated i20 as of yet though it is expected to feature all the premium bits complementing its “most cherished” hatchback profile. One can further expect the cabin to feature a fully-digital instrument panel while the touchscreen infotainment system is expected to be much larger.
The brand will be offering the next-gen Hyundai i20 in two power trains namely 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine while the new power and torque figures are unknown at the point. The reports also suggest the hatchback to get an electric powertrain sometime in the future though there is no official confirmation received on the same.
