Hyundai has unveiled the all-new ix25 (Next-Gen Creta) at the Shanghai Motor Show. The car comes with an all-new front fascia, leaving behind the conventional headlights for the Kona-inspired split setup. The eyebrow LED daytime running light on the car is straight, leaving behind any sort of pattern that was seen in the recently launched Santa Fe LWB. The headlight is showing multiple splits as a small section is seen between the primary headlight and the DRL. The bonnet feels more upright with the update, getting a matching chrome grill highlight to improve the visual feel.
The front comes with a silver lower bumper section while side profile features thick cladding. The alloy wheels seen here are bigger and finished in the dual-tone premium touch. The side profile is directly derived from the current generation Creta, with same window line and improved glass area after the B-pillar. The rear is another story in itself as the tail section comes with revised lights that are now placed much lower than the existing car. The split light design language is also new and similar in design to the front light. The next-gen Creta measures 4300mm in length, 1790mm in width and 1620mm in height.
The wheelbase is quite healthy at 2610mm while the brand is also expected to launch a seven-seater variant of the Creta to take on Harrier-based (Cassini) SUV. The car can make its official Indian entry at the Auto Expo 2020 while other options like Venue and Santa Fe (if launched by end 2019) will introduce the face before the official entry of next-gen Creta. The interior is decades ahead of the current generation model as one can see the huge display that controls everything for the car and waterfall-style centre console that handles everything from the gear selector to the touch controls.
