The much-awaited 2020 Hyundai Verna has been officially revealed by the brand. The updated sedan is expected to be launched in the Indian market by the end of March 2020 while the bookings have already been commenced at selected dealerships at a token amount of INR 25,000. Now equipped with Blue Link Technology, the facelifted version of the car is the first-ever connected model under the sedan portfolio from the brand.
Coming to the major cosmetic changes, the 2020 Hyundai Verna has been equipped with a redesigned chrome grille at the front that is further mated to a revised headlight setup. The LED DRLs mated to the front headlights have also been revised while the front bumper now features Hyundai Elantra-inspired outlook. In addition to this, the sedan has been further equipped with chrome door handles while the addition of all-new diamond cut alloy wheels accentuates its neat profile.

The rear bumper design has also been revised a bit while the tail lights setup is also new. Apart from this, the facelifted sedan now features a new boot lid design while the overall notable accents further impart it a fresher outlook. The brand continues to offer the panoramic sunroof with the 2020 Hyundai Verna. The brand has not yet officially revealed any details on the facelifted cabin design though one can expect it to feature a larger infotainment unit in addition to featuring a revised instrument unit with full-coloured TFT display as well as several other connected car features.
Mechanically, the facelifted sedan will be available to the customers with three BS6-compliant engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 1.5-litre VGT diesel engine, and lastly, a 1.0-litre GDI turbo petrol engine. The customers can avail the sedan with a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as automatic transmission options for the respective powertrains. It is also being reported that the turbo model of Verna will be offered with paddle shifters as standard.
Once launched in India, the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is expected to get a slight premium over its BS4 price range that starts at INR 8.18 lakh. The updated model of the sedan will compete in the market with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, Toyota Yaris, 2020 Honda City, and the Skoda Rapid.
