2020 Hyundai Verna Spotted in a New Set of Photos

Hyundai is all set to unveil the 2020 model of the Verna at the Chengdu Motor Show in China. The undisguised images of the facelifted sedan from the brand have leaked online before its official launch. Exhibiting an overall change in the exterior and interior design language, the all-new 2020 Hyundai Verna looks promising indeed.

Coming to the external changes, the sedan features a trapezoidal grille at the front that is mated to the triple pod headlamps flowing towards the back. The brand has equipped the front bumper of the sedan with silver inserts while the rear end of the car features a new tail lamp design mated to a thin LED strip running across the width of the sedan.

The brand is offering dual-tone coloured alloy wheels on the top-spec variants of the sedan while the lower-spec variants feature monotone wheels. The 2020 Hyundai Verna has been further installed with a panoramic sunroof in addition to a shark fin antenna. The leaked images don’t give a clear view of the facelifted sedan’s interior though one can expect Hyundai to offer multiple first-in-class comfort features with their latest product.

The reports suggest that the upcoming sedan will be equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in addition to getting the Hyundai’s BlueLink feature. The brand will be offering ventilated seats with the 2020 Hyundai Verna in addition to offering a wireless charging port. The sedan is expected to get a premium safety package as well.

The 2020 Hyundai Verna is likely to feature BS6-compliant 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engine options as seen on the Kia Seltos. Both the engine variants will offer a maximum power of 115HP while the peak torque for the diesel engine will stand at 250 Nm. The engine will be mated to 6-speed manual transmission as standard while the customers can also avail the diesel engine with a 6-speed torque converter AT gearbox and the petrol variant with a CVT transmission.

One can expect the brand to unveil the 2020 Hyundai Verna in India at the Auto Expo in February 2020. Once launched in India, the sedan will continue to rival against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid, and the Volkswagen Vento.
