2023 Hyundai Creta Likely To Launch In India In November This Year

The facelifted Creta, which is already on sale in Indonesia, will most likely be introduced by Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) in November this year. The current Creta design is based on the iX25 sold in China, but the updated version adheres to the brand’s latest Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy, and thus the front fascia is completely different.

The India-spec 2022 Hyundai Creta is expected to have similar styling to the recently revealed 2022 Tucson, and it could arrive in showrooms following the market launch of the New Tucson in the coming months. Hyundai is known for bringing significant updates to its mid-life revisions, and the upcoming Creta is no exception, building on the success of the existing model and taking it to the next level.

The second-generation Hyundai Creta made its local debut in early 2020, quickly surpassing Kia Seltos at the top of the sales charts. The facelifted midsize SUV made its global debut at the 2021 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) and is Hyundai’s first SUV produced in West Java.

The exterior features a redesigned front fascia with a new Parametric Jewel pattern grille, new headlamps and unique LED DRLs, a revised fog lamp housing, newly designed alloy wheels, a wider central air intake, a new skid plate, and other design cues borrowed from the fourth generation Tucson, which is also expected to launch in India soon.

The rear is inspired by the Russia-spec Creta, but the changes aren’t as dramatic as they are in the front. The cabin has undergone numerous revisions, including an upgraded feature list that includes ADAS technology that enables autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist in Indonesia.

We anticipate that similar assistive features will be available in India and that the South Korean company will look to introduce new technologies across the lineup in the near future. The latest BlueLink, wireless charger, digital cluster, panoramic sunroof, and other features are likely to be included. In terms of performance, the same 1.5L petrol, 1.5L diesel, and 1.4L turbo petrol engines will be retained.
