7-Seater Hyundai Creta Spotted: The most anticipated 7-seat model of the Hyundai Creta SUV has been spotted for the first time testing in South Korea. Featuring a host of cosmetic differences when compared to the 5-seat Creta, the upcoming 7-seater variant of the most sought-after SUV is expected to foresee a rather large fanbase.
Coming to the front fascia, the brand has equipped the SUV with a distinguished radiator grille that has been polished in chrome. In addition to this, the brand has also equipped the 7-seater Creta with front parking sensors which are missing in the 5-seater version.
Further taking inspiration from its 5-seater variant, the recently spotted SUV features similar 17-inch clean-silver alloy wheels. The 7-seater variant features a silver-coated side sill in addition to offering a flat profile. Hyundai has imparted a slimmer profile to the C-pillar which now houses the quarter glass for the third-row passengers to look outside.
The brand has further offered the 7-seat Hyundai Creta with an elongated rear to accommodate the third row of seats though one cannot expect it to offer a lot of legroom. The boot space offered to the upcoming SUV will ultimately be lesser than the 5-seater variant though the overall luggage carrying capacity will be higher with folded rear seats.
The customers will be able to get their hands on the 7-seat Creta with three powertrain options namely 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine that will be good for 115HP and 144Nm, a 1.4L turbocharged petrol unit good for 140HP and 242Nm as well as a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine that will be good for 115HP and 250Nm.
All the engine variants will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard while the customers can also avail a 7-speed DCT gearbox (1.4L Petrol), a CVT gearbox (1.5L Petrol), and a 6-speed torque converter AT gearbox (1.5L Diesel) as an option.
The brand is expected to officially launch the 7-seat Hyundai Creta sometime in 2021 while one can expect it to get a starting price tag of around INR 10.50-11.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
