The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is all set to be launched in India on August 20, 2019. The third-gen i10 will be co-existing with the currently available i10 variants in the Indian market. The bookings for the hatchback has been commenced at various Hyundai dealerships at a token amount of INR 11,000.
The brand will be offering the hatchback in 6 colour schemes namely Red, White, Silver, Grey, Aqua Teal and Alpha Blue. In addition to these, White with a Black roof and Aqua Teal with a Black roof are the dual colour options available for the i10 Nios.
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has been recently spotted in a new set of photos. The images clearly show the hatchback in all its glory while the AMT variant of the Nios has also been spied. The brand has promised the customers with more comfort, more space and better features with the launch of the third-gen model of the Grand i10. The hatchback will specifically lineup in Hyundai’s portfolio in between the Grand i10 and the i20 Elite.
The brand is offering a total of 10 variants for the upcoming hatchback in which 7 of them are petrol variants while the remaining 3 are diesel variants. The Grand i10 Nios Era MT, Magna MT, Magna AMT, Sportz MT, Sportz AMT, Sportz MT Dual Tone and Asta MT are the petrol variants of the hatchback while Magna MT, Sportz MT, and Asta MT can be availed as diesel variants.
The upcoming Hyundai hatchback will be made available with the same diesel and petrol engines like that of the current i10 variants though both will now be BS6-complaint. The 1.2-litre petrol engine will be capable of churning out a maximum power of 83 HP and a peak torque of 113 Nm.
On the other hand, the 1.2 litre U2 diesel engine will be good for 75 HP and a maximum torque of 194 Nm. Both the engine variants will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the customers can avail the i10 Nios petrol with AMT transmission as well. Once launched in India, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will compete in the market with the likes of Maruti Swift and Ford Figo.
