Hyundai’s stylish Elantra N already went on sale in the US market some time ago, and now this sporty sedan has made its official debut in Australia as well, but this time with a new name, called the i30 N Line. Loaded with Hyundai’s cutting-edge technology, the new i30 N Line Sedan joins the company’s current N lineup of the i30 N hatch and Kona N SUV. The newly launched sedan is available at a starting ex-showroom price of $49,000.
Moreover, on this well-positioned, feature-loaded sedan, the sunroof ($2000) and premium paint ($495) are the only cost options available. The new Hyundai i30 N Line Sedan sports a new body style for the folks who love stylish as well as sophisticated cars. Its elegant front and side profile get a cascading front grille with N Line badging for an aggressive look, motorsport-inspired air curtains on the lower fascia, wing mirrors, arrow-like creases on body panels, glossy black moulding on wheel wells and twin-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels.
The rear profile is also well-designed and features a chrome twin exhaust, an integrated spoiler and an N-Line rear diffuser. In addition, there are six appealing colour choices on offer by the brand. Inside, the all-new i30 N Line carries a 10.25-inch colour supervision instrument console on the premium variant, a leather-appointed steering wheel with metallic spokes, alloy foot pedals, a sports gear lever with the N logo, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless smartphone charger, and Bose premium speakers, to mention a few.
Powering the i30 N Line is a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 276 hp and 392 Nm when coupled to a six-speed manual or an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. With that power and torque output, the i30 Sedan N is able to reach a top speed of 250kmph and can perform the 0-100kmph sprint in just 5.3 seconds for the automatic model and 5.8 seconds for the manual model.
As far as the car’s India launch is concerned, we can safely assume that the i30 N Line sedan will come to our shores in the near future because, while launching the i20 N Line in India, Hyundai cited that i20 N Line won’t be the only N series product in our country and they will launch more N Line cars in the coming years.
