Hyundai Lafesta was recently unveiled at 2018 Beijing Motor Show. Presently listed under China specific models, the car is based on 2018 Elantra and carries identical 2700 mm of wheelbase. Hyundai claims that it comes with an updated suspension and measures slightly longer than Elantra at 4660 mm.
It shares some design lines with Le Fil Rouge Concept and clearly shows coupe like rear end with perfectly flowing roof-line. Buyers won’t need to worry about comfort as Lafesta is a pure four door sedan with added pinch of style to it. Hyundai targets younger buyers in China with Lafesta. Overall dimensions place the new Hyundai Lafesta under Sonata in their international lineup while pricing will also fall in between for customer centric approach.
If Lafesta shares most of its components with Elantra, it is completely possible for the brand to build one here and retail the same with Elantra specific 2.0L petrol and 1.6L diesel engine. It can be offered in just two variants with range topping features and one engine under each hood.
