Complete details regarding the number of variants and their respective pricing for the new Hyundai Santro are now available. The car starts at INR 3,87,627 for the D-Lite variant and goes up to INR 5,38,571 for the Sportz CNG variant. Buyers looking for petrol AMT can get their hands on Sportz AMT variant at INR 5,20,646 while petrol manual lovers get the fully loaded Asta variant for INR 5,29,137. The list features these prices as temporary, clearly hinting that Hyundai will bring a rise soon in the pricing, with most happening time for this being the month of January 2019.
The new Hyundai Santro is available in five trim levels, with CNG and AMT available on just Magna and Sportz variants across the lineup. Apart from all other combinations, the AMT gearbox is not available on the CNG variants. The car features a revised Grand i10 platform and shares the 1.1L, 4-cylinder petrol motor with the discontinued i10. The car uses CNG to attract buyers who are in need of a cost-effective vehicle while AMT is focused on city commuters with high traffic on their regular routes. The petrol Santro is good for 69 HP while CNG brings 59 HP of maximum power.
The brand is accepting online bookings till October 22, clearing the fact that launch date is none other than Oct 23, 2018. The 1.1L engine is good for a claimed mileage of 20.3 kmpl and all variants are available with steel wheels as standard. The leaked interior images show silver finish around the air vents and steering wheel, Grand i10 sourced touchscreen system, analog-digital instrument console, manual air conditioner, dual tone dashboard, and door finish, Mercedes A-Class inspired side air vents and audio as well as Bluetooth telephonic buttons on the steering wheel.
