Hyundai Verna is a segment benchmark when compared in terms of performance from both petrol as well as the diesel engine option. The one you see here is a heavily modified version of the mid-size sedan. Owned by Vineeth Vijayan, it is based on the 2014 variant of the car and the owner has named it Verna Blue Bee. The modified example is inspired by the cars we usually spot in games like ‘Need for Speed’ and the ‘Asphalt’ series.
Heavily modified and carrying a bright blue paint scheme, the front fascia of Hyundai Verna Blue Bee is clearly inspired by none other than the legendary Nissan GT-R, also known as Godzilla. One can spot similar grille placement, smoked headlights, LED fog lamps and enhanced bumper design with a splitter.
Some of the key highlights of this typical Verna is the full-length roof-mounted LED flood light bar and the black-finished bonnet with faux air intakes. The mid-size sedan features low-profile tyres on all-black 12-spoke alloy wheels while the scissor doors look unique for a car of this segment.
Not just that, the rear end features a full-sized spoiler and darkened taillights. The brake callipers have been painted in a bright red shade to achieve a sporty feel on this customized version of Hyundai Verna. The changes made under the hood have not been disclosed while one can safely assume the car feature a custom exhaust system for race car style acceleration and sound.
As far as the present-gen stock model is concerned, the new version of the Hyundai Verna sedan was launched in India last year. The updated car is available in the Indian markets at a starting price tag of INR 9.29 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The brand has equipped the facelifted variant of the sedan with a BS6-compliant engine lineup and a host of other feature updates. The customers can get their hands on the new Hyundai Verna in four trim levels namely E, S, SX and SX (O) which can be further availed with a choice of three BS6-compliant powertrains.
