Hyundai’s next stylish sedan, the HB20S recently made its official debut. The sedan was surprisingly introduced during the launch of the HB20. It is built on the same platform as the HB20 supermini. The 2023 HB20S sedan has a similar set of upgrades as the HB20 facelift. Nonetheless, unlike the hatchback, the sedan will not be available until October. Plus, the brand has yet to disclose information about the variants and pricing of the all-new HB20S sedan.
The car gets a refreshed design language and its front fascia receives a dotted front grille, sleeker headlights with DRLs, and integrated turn signals. The sedan’s main enticing point is the styling of its taillights, which look identical to the India-spec Hyundai Venue. The LED taillights are joined by a wholly illuminated bar. Not only the taillights but the rear bumper and trunk lid designs have also been updated.
In terms of interior design, the HB20S sedan looks premium on the inside and comes equipped with a host of sophisticated features. These include an 8-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with Bluetooth connectivity, a wireless charger, a digital instrument panel, digital and automatic air conditioning, and six airbags (front, side, and curtain), emergency brake alert, hill start assist, and so on.
The model shown during the occasion was the top-of-the-line Platinum Plus. It features a six-speed automated transmission and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo engine (bi-fuel) that produces 120 hp and 171 Nm of torque. This engine will have a six-speed manual gearbox option. The other unit should include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine with 80 hp and 100 Nm, combined with a five-speed manual transmission. The brand intends to bring the car to our country, although we can not expect it too soon since these cars support flex-fuel.
