Updated Hyundai i20 Active Launched in India @ INR 6.99 Lakh

Refreshed Hyundai i20 Active has been silently launched in India. Unlike others cars from their lineup, i20 Active comes without their signature grill and thus, cannot be called all new from the exterior itself. The car misses on rear updated lights and costs exactly the same as earlier version

The range starts at INR 6,99,990 for base petrol variant while top spec variant costs INR 10,01,330. Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi and does not include optional accessories that are generally bought with this car. Higher top spec price exists because Hyundai i20 Active is now available in dual tone livery too.

Earth Brown and Polar White shade carries black roof option while their Blue shade comes with white contrasting roof. More than that, the gear knob, AC vents and other highlights are color coded for more energetic feel inside the car.

Interior of the car is now updated and thus, one gets 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and much more. It now shares interior design with 2018 Hyundai i20 Elite and thus, buyers who felt the hatchback to be a bit more flashing can go for i20 Active. It comes with chrome finished door handles, roof rails and dual tone bumpers.

Side cladding on i20 Active is reasonably muscular but still, front fascia may soon feel like out of fashion due to much aggressive faces of other cars in their lineup. Hyundai i20 Active rivals Ford Freestyle, Toyota Etios Cross and Honda WRV in India.

When compared to rivals, WRV is priced much near to i20 Active while more powerful Ford Freestyle is priced at a much more effective point. Hyundai offers i20 Active with two engine options, both being shared with i20 Elite and producing identical power values. The 1.4L diesel engine is more powerful with 90 PS of max power.
