2016 Jaguar XF launched in India at INR 49.50 lakh

The second generation of Jaguar XF has been launched in the country at a starting price of INR 49.50 lakh. It will be available in three trims namely Pure, Prestige and Portfolio. The top variant can be bought for INR 62.10 lakh. The car features the new 2.0 L Ingenium diesel engine from Jaguar in India. It is good for 177 HP and 430 Nm of torque.

The credit even goes to the 8-speed automatic gearbox, making the car sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 8.1 seconds. The same gearbox also comes with the 2.0 L petrol motor, producing 237 HP and 340 Nm of torque. It is available in just Prestige and Portfolio trim. The petrol motor returns a claimed mileage of 13.12 kmpl.

The diesel engine returns 19.33 kmpl while both of them are equipped with Jaguar Drive Control with 4 driving modes namely Standard, Eco, Dynamic and Rain/Snow/Ice. The knee-room and leg-room has been improved by providing a 51 mm longer wheelbase than before. The best part comes to its weight, which is now 190 kg lesser due to intense use of Aluminum, making the chassis 30 percent stiffer than before.

The features on the top spec Jaguar XF includes 12.3 HD Virtual instrument Console, TouchPro infotainment system with 10.2 inch display, adaptive LED lights and 17 speaker Meridian surround sound system. Even the new LED taillights are inspired from the F-Type.
