The 2021 Jeep Compass SUV brings forth cosmetic changes both inside and out. To begin with the exterior, the front look has been imparted a fresh outlook to set it apart from the last-generation model of the midsize SUV. The 7-slat front grille has been revised a little bit while the front bumper has also been tweaked with a new two-part air dam. The top half of the air dam merges into the new fog lamps housing and the lower design of the bumper has also been revised and altered slightly.
The interiors of the 2021 Jeep Compass have gone through significant changes and the dashboard has been entirely re-designed to impart a fresh lease of life to the SUV. All major components starting from the steering wheel to the infotainment system and switchgear for HVAC/infotainment controls have undergone a big change.
The infotainment system is now bigger in size featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen fitted with FCAs latest UConnect5 system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Connectivity. The SUV now also features an all-digital 10.5-inch instrument cluster with multiple options to change the design.
Mechanically, there are no changes and the 2021 model of Jeep Compass continues to be available with the same set of engines and gearbox options. The customers can avail the new model of Compass in two powertrains namely a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 2.0-litre diesel unit.
The petrol engine is capable of generating maximum power of 160 HP along with a peak torque of 250 Nm while the diesel engine is good for 173 HP and 350 Nm. The engines come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while the brand is also offering a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission with the petrol engine and a 9-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox with the diesel engine.
