The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is back in the country as a facelift model and is available at an introductory price of Rs 30.72 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 1 lakh higher than the top-spec S variant of the regular Compass. The updated Trailhawk draws cosmetic and features inspiration from the Compass Facelift, which was introduced in the Indian market last year. Based on Compass’s top-end S variant, the Trailhawk will lock horns with the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and the Isuzu MU-X.
To start with the design of the facelift model, it gets a moderately distinct grille, tweaked LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a bumper sticker, and a red-finished visible tow hook at the rear. The SUV now rides on 17-inch new design alloy wheels which are clothed with 225/60 size Falken Wildpeaks all-terrain tyres, and it also boasts Tailgate emblems on the front fenders as well as the Trailhawk logo on the hatch.
Stepping inside, the cabin of the new Jeep Compass Trailhawk looks quite similar to the Compass Facelift. The interior is finished in all-black with red highlights and stitching. Also, the seats are offered with Trailhawk embossing. Despite some tweaks to the interior, the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster remain the same. Other prominent features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, push-button start/stop, multi-function steering wheel, and many more.
Moreover, the off-road capabilities of the car include four modes called Auto, Snow, Sand/Mud, and an additional Rock mode. As for the mechanical specifications, the facelift Trailhawk gets the same engine and transmission as the Compass facelift. Therefore, powering the SUV is a 2.0-L Multijet II diesel engine, which is combined with a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission and churns out 170 PS and 350 Nm of max torque. It’s worth noting here that the Trailhawk comes with a four-wheel drive and a select terrain system as standard.
