Jeep Grand Commander (7-Seater Compass) Photos Leaked: Back on January 27 this year, Jeep officially launched the 2021 model of Compass in the Indian markets with a starting price tag of INR 16.99 lakhs while the top-end Model S 4×4 diesel-automatic variant is available for INR 28.29 lakhs.

According to the latest details available, the 7-Seater Compass is the next big thing for India and a lot of Jeep fans are waiting for the full-size SUV, which would be competing with the likes of Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Mahindra Alturas G4, Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace and the upcoming BS6-compliant model of the Skoda Kodiaq.

In one of the major leaks, the photos of the 7-Seater Jeep Compass have surfaced online. Christened as Grand Commander, the SUV is all set to go on sale in China in the coming months.

If we talk about the design, the Grand Commander has typical Jeep looks with a familiar front grille, a flat bonnet, a very neat rear-end design with all-LED tail-lights, and a very clean side profile. As per the leaked data, the SUV measures 4895mm in length, 1896mm in width, and 1754mm in height.

Technically, the Jeep Grand Commander is expected to launch in India with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, which is said to generate a maximum power of around 200HP. The engine would be mated to a 9-speed torque-convertor automatic gearbox as standard while the top-end variants of the SUV will also be available with a 4×4 option.

Some of the key design elements of the Jeep Grand Commander includes the likes of chrome front grille slats, Jeep logo on the bonnet, all-black fog lamp housing, LED headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), black roof rails, raked front windshield, blackened B-pillars and C-pillars.

The all-new SUV will be manufactured in India at FCA’s manufacturing facility located at Ranjangaon near Pune in Maharashtra. As far as the launch is concerned, the Jeep Grand Commander is expected to launch in India sometime in 2022. Earlier, the SUV was supposed to launch this year but it has been delayed due to the second wave of COVID-19 in India,
