Jeep Compass Black Pack is now officially available in India, offering customers with an option to explore the potential of Compass through all-black exterior and interior finish. The car comes with black outside mirror covers, alloy wheels and leather wrapped all-black interior. The car starts at INR 20.59 lakh for the petrol automatic variant, going all the way up to INR 22.03 lakh for the diesel manual 4×4 variant. The decent premium over the regular variant was already expected, further tagging the product as a limited production model like Jeep Compass Bedrock.
Jeep Compass is one among others with more emphasis on luxury than any car at its price. Kevin Flynn, MD Fiat Chrysler India, also hinted for the arrival of Limited Plus variant with more features than the present flagship model. They are expected to add a sunroof, larger infotainment system, and powered driver as well as passenger seat on this model. The Trailhawk variant will, however, make an Indian debut in 2019. It will be the most capable Compass ever built by Fiat Chrysler India. The Black Pack variant fulfills the desire of driving an all-black Compass by the fans. In fact, it looks the most commanding car of its segment in this livery.
The Trailhawk variant is expected with an automatic gearbox, that too a 9-speed unit that complies to the BS6 emission norms from the day of its launch. It will feature more off-road specific features like higher ground clearance and rock mode for the terrain management system. The use of skid plates and additional exterior components will make Trailhawk the most loaded model for Compass. Currently, the range for Compass starts at INR 15.35 lakh for the petrol and INR 16.55 lakh for the diesel engine. The latter is more powerful with 173HP of maximum power and 350Nm of torque.
