Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Price Dropped by INR 10 Lakh in India: The new model of Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was officially launched in India back in 2019 at a price tag of INR 63.94 lakhs (ex-showroom). The SUV was launched as a CBU (Completely Built-Up) model in India. Now the brand has launched the locally-assembled model of Wrangler Unlimited with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 53.90 lakhs, making the SUV cheaper by INR 10.04 lakhs, when compared to the earlier price tag. The SUV is now manufactured at Jeep’s Ranjangaon manufacturing facility near Pune in Maharashtra.
The boxy off-road SUV is only available with a petrol engine and features a host of contemporary components. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has been equipped with premium aluminium components though, the steel body of the SUV is retained.
The SUV features a 7-slot grille at the front that has been mated to round headlamps. In addition to these, the brand has equipped the Wrangler with LED headlamps surrounded by LED DRLs and LED units at the rear. In comparison to the old model, the rear bumper of the offroad SUV now features a more muscular look while the wheel arches are now more flared.
Coming to the interiors, the brand has equipped the SUV with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The traditional outlook for all the mounted controls remains the same while the all-black leather-interior further adds to its exclusive looks.
Powering the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a new 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 268HP and a peak torque of 400Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The brand has equipped the updated SUV with its SelecTrac 4×4 drivetrain system. The standard safety kit includes ABS with EBS, dual airbags at the front, traction control, hill assist and more.
