Kia Carens, which was officially unveiled in December 2021, is most likely going to make its debut in February 2022. But the reports say that ahead of the MPV’s official introduction to the Indian market, the Korean carmaker is going to start taking bookings for the MPV. The booking process for this fourth model by the carmaker in the country is going to commence on January 14, 2022.
Announcing the start of the booking period, Kia India has shared a teaser video on their official Youtube channel and also mentioned the tagline “It’s from a different world”. This MPV is built in India only and has been inspired by Kia’s new design ideology. The brand has also revealed the official photos, key features and colour options of the MPV.
Based on the company’s “Opposites United” design ideology, this new Carens gets Kia’s signature tiger-face front fascia with dumpy bumpers at the front and rear end. The flat front bonnet sports a sleek grille, LED headlamps, and Y-shaped DRLs. Other notable exterior design features include body-coloured ORVMs, sculpted door handles, dual-tone alloy wheels and more.
While the interior of the MPV boasts an ergonomic design with captain seats for the second row in the case of a 6th-seater layout and bench seats for its 7th-seater equivalent, The top-of-the-line variant comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the lower variants get an 8-inch screen. In terms of pricing, the upcoming car is expected to get a starting ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 15 lakhs.
