The key technical specifications and features for multiple trims of the most anticipated MPV, Kia Carnival has been revealed ahead of its official launch. The brand is all set to debut their first ever India-spec premium MPV at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020 which will commence from February 6.
In addition to the specific details, the official images of the upcoming Kia Carnival have also surfaced online, giving the viewers a clear representation of what to expect from the upcoming MPV. According to the official website of the brand, the Kia Carnival will be made available to the customers in the Indian market in 7-seater, 8-seater, and 9-seater versions. Though the brand has not yet revealed the exact pricing details of the Kia carnival, one can expect the MPV to be priced between INR 25 lakh – INR 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powering the Kia Carnival will be a BS6-compliant 2.2L VGT four-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 200HP @ 3,800 rpm and a peak torque of 440Nm @ 1,500-2,750 rpm. The engine will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. Here are the trim-wise features of the upcoming Kia Carnival MPV:
The Premium trim of the Kia Carnival will be available to the customers with a 7-seat as well as an 8-seat setup. The MPV will be offered a standard safety package which will feature dual-front airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, automatic headlights, reverse parking camera, disc brakes at either side for increased stability as well as ABS with EBD.
In addition to this, the cabin of the Kia Carnival Premium will be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that will also offer the reverse camera display. The brand will be equipping the MPV with a 3.5-inch Multi-Information Display (MID) as well as 4-speakers as standard. The premium variant of the MPV will also feature cruise control and keyless ignition.
The Kia Carnival Prestige variant will be available to the customers in a 7-seater as well as 9-seater version. The brand will be offering a host of premium features to the MPV which includes the likes of LED headlights mated to LED position lamps, electronically adjustable ORVMs, LED tail lamps as well as fog lamps. In addition to this, the Prestige variant of the Carnival will feature dual-panel electric sunroof as well as a powered tailgate. The cabin of the MPV will feature sinking and sliding seats and a 220V laptop charger.
The safety kit of the mid-level MPV variant will further feature ESC with HAC, cornering brake control, curtain airbags as well as front parking sensors.
The Kia Carnival Limousine top-level trim will be only available to the customers in a 7-seater version. The MPV will be shod with 18-inch alloy wheels setup with a metallic finish while the safety package will be advanced with the addition of auto anti-glare IRVM and TPMS as well as an electronic brake.
Coming to the cabin of the Limousine variant, the MPV will be equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that will further offer navigation properties as well as support UVO features, specific to Kia owners. In addition to this, the MPV will feature 8 Harman speakers for surround sound as well as a wireless charger and a 10.1-inch dual touchscreen infotainment system at the rear seats.
