Kia EV6 Price List Leaked Ahead of Official Launch in India

A business source has offered information to media portals on the pricing and waiting period for the future Kia EV6, a stylish looking electric car slated to be unveiled in India on June 2nd, 2022. Kia has allotted only 100 units of the car for India as of now, with AWD deliveries beginning in September 2022 and RWD deliveries beginning in December 2022.

The vehicle will be available through 15 dealerships in 12 cities, with reservations accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. These delivery schedules are for initial bookings made in the last two days, and the waiting period for future bookings is stated to be 10 months.

The Kia EV6 has a booking fee of Rs. 3 lakh and a cancellation fee of Rs. 50,000/-. However, we have been assured that the cancellation fee can be negotiated and waived. Separately, we were told that the automaker had received 300 bookings for the vehicle, although we would take this statistic with a grain of salt.

The EV6 price will be formally announced by the company later this week. Kia has had success with the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, and even the Carnival, so it will be interesting to see how the EV6 does.

As per a recent media report, the Kia EV6 will be priced at Rs 65 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) for the RWD variant and Rs 70 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) for the AWD option, with on-road prices likely to be Rs 67 Lakh and Rs 73 Lakh, respectively. The Kia EV6 will be available in five colours, including Matte Grey.

The electric crossover is expensive since it is imported into India via the CBU channel. In other developments, Hyundai will also unveil the Ioniq 5, although it will be less expensive than the EV6 because the company will go the CKD way.
