According to the reports, Lamborghini Urus, one of the super-luxury vehicles offered by the brand in India has been delivered to its 50th owner. The luxury car was launched in the country in 2018 at a price tag of INR 3.10 crores (ex-showroom) while the first delivery was made on September 10, 2018. The 50th Urus SUV’s delivery in the country has been able to set a new record in India as the fastest 50 deliveries of any super-luxury vehicles registered in around 12 months of the first delivery.
The Lamborghini Urus SUV is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 650HP and a peak torque of 850Nm. The four-wheel-drive system is connected to 8-speed automatic gearbox while the SUV can be operated in 6 driving modes. The top speed registered by the SUV stands at 305 kmph while the Urus can cover 0-100 km in just 3.6 seconds.
The kerb weight of the SUV stands at 2.2 tonnes while the 440mm of carbon-ceramic front disc brakes offered to the SUV has also set a record of being the largest brakes offered to any production car. With highest power outputs when compared to other super SUVs and a commendable power-to-weight ratio of 3.38 kg/hp, the Lamborghini Urus is one of the most preferred super-luxury SUV in the country which has beaten the slowdown in the automotive sector within no time.
Commenting on delivering their 50th Urus delivered in India, Sharad Agarwal, Head – Lamborghini India stated – “India was amongst the first few markets in which we launched the Urus and we anticipated that it would drive our future growth in volumes. The Lamborghini Urus offers the driving dynamics and emotions true to Lamborghini DNA and has the versatility of an SUV that addresses the challenge that we have in India, in terms of infrastructure. Over 70 per cent of the Urus customers are first time buyers of the brand, and with the Urus added to the Lamborghini model range, it continues to expand our reach to new geographies in India.”
