Lamborghini SC18 Alston, the one-off model from the Italian supercar brand’s racing division Squadra Corse, is now official. The road legal model is basically a track beast with more active and passive aerodynamic abilities than any of their cars in production. The one-off model shows how future Lamborghini products can be customized by the performance division for buyers who demand more than stock performance. The front section comes with Huracan GT3 Evo inspired air intakes while the rear gets twelve air intakes for effective channelization of heat. The method has been successfully tested on different endurance races to keep heat levels low.
The rear also comes with a large carbon fiber wing with three different settings for variable downforce. The different positions will mean the correct amount of force for multiple riding conditions. The 6498cc, naturally aspirated V12 engine is good for 770 hp at 8500 rpm and 720 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine features seven-speed gearbox for perfect shifts in different driving modes. Lamborghini is using carbon fiber and other lightweight materials for the frame and body parts, resulting in mouthwatering power to weight ratio for the SC18 Alston. The updated frame just offers 109mm of ground clearance for the one-off model.
The car flaunts exclusivity with carbon fiber bucket seats, pure black interior with red inserts and grey exterior finish with a number of visible details. The single nut alloy wheels measure 20-inch for the front and 21-inch for the rear section. A specially developed Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyre set is used to efficiently put all power into the ground. Lamborghini’s Motorsport division is not always seen working with the brand to create new products. The production-spec lineup of the Italian brand includes Urus, Aventador, and Huracan. The former is an SUV while latter two are supercars with V12 and V10 engines under the hood.
