Range Rover Evoque Convertible Launched in India @ INR 69.53 lakh

2018 Range Rover Evoque Convertible has been launched in India for INR 69.53 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it India’s first luxury convertible SUV and thus, places itself exclusively at a point where no competition literally exists. Evoque Convertible is using new 2.0L, four cylinder Ingenium petrol motor producing 240 HP and 340 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Four wheel drive-train makes Evoque Convertible good for 0-100 kmph in 8.1 seconds and enables the car to reach 217 kmph of top speed. The values are really exciting for everyday use. Features available on the car includes gesture control for tailgate, In-Control Touch Pro system, 360 degree camera, LED adaptive lights and heads up display. The fabric roof folds and unfolds in just 20 second for each side. This process requires speed under 48 kmph. Range Rover is using reinforced frame for added rigidity as loss of roof needs to be compensated in one way or the other. Cabin insulation is enhanced with acoustic inner lining on this roof. They are even offering an optional wind deflector that fits behind rear seat for wind deflection. Safety equipment on offer also includes pop up roll bars that automatically comes out at times of crash. Range Rover Evoque is priced from INR 50.2 lakh and all models under this lineup comes with 2.0L, four cylinder diesel option. This engine is good for 179 HP. Land Rover and Jaguar are two crown jewels of Tata Motors. They have resurrected these brands and now made them capable enough to compete against rival brands like Mercedes, Audi, BMW and Volvo in the Indian market.
