The platform of the vehicles is shared by Toyota and Lexus but the additional touches and comforts that are provided by Lexus cars ensure that the price tag on the cars is not questioned.
Lexus cars are quite safe as well. These luxurious versions of the Toyotas are some of the most exclusive cars in India. Only a select few of the total population of India goes for the Lexus cars, simply because of the high price tag.
The brand was brought to life to rival the Infiniti brand from Nissan and the Acura brand from Honda. Most of the vehicles are produced in the Japanese manufacturing plant of the company while there are a few markets whose needs are catered by the other manufacturing plants all around the world.
The range of Lexus vehicles starts from INR 59.50 lakhs and goes all the way up to INR 2.33 crores. People buy a Lexus both as a social symbol and for its comfort and luxury. Lexus recently launched the LC 500h coupe in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.96 crores, which is now available at INR 2.20 crores, after getting a recent price hike. The company has not yet launched their entire lineup in India, but it is expected that new Lexus cars will find their way to the Indian shores soon.
