Lexus LC500h Officially Launched in India @ INR 1.96 Crore

Lexus has launched its LC500h luxury car in India with a price tag of INR 1.96 crore (ex-showroom). It was the most awaited model of the brand’s portfolio. It carries a hybrid power plant and a futuristic design that reminds of the LFA supercar when viewed from certain angles. The 2020 model of the car even offers a range of new-age features that provide a highly luxurious appearance.

Mechanically too, the LC500h does not fail to impress. It is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that produces 300HP of maximum power along with 348Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to an electric motor that helps in boosting the total power output to 354HP, which is sent to the rear wheels through a combination of a 4-speed automatic gearbox and a CVT gearbox. The Lexus LC500h reaches 0-100kmph in just 4.7 seconds while the top speed of the car is electronically limited at 250kmph.

Coming to the features, the Lexus LC500h is equipped with a 10.3-inch infotainment screen with a touchpad controller positioned close to the gear lever. It also gets a 10-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat. Lexus has also announced that it will locally assemble the cars in India and the ES 300h luxury sedan would be their first model. The very first unit of the lot was displayed at the event that will make an impact against the German trio of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi.

Internationally, the LC500h is also on sale with a 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine that produces 477HP of maximum power along with 540Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The Lexus LC500h competes against the likes of Audi RS5 Coupe, Jaguar F-Type, and the forthcoming BMW 8 Series Coupe.
