Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is all set to be launched in India on August 20, 2019. The brand has kick-started the production of is the latest offering at the Chennai plant and the hatchback has also started reaching the dealerships. India is the first market in the world to receive the Grand i10 Nios. The brand will be further launching the hatchback in the European markets later this year or in early 2020.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has been specifically designed by the brand with more features, space and better performance to make it stand out among the rest. The Nios variant of the Grand i10 will be co-existing with the current variants of the hatchback in India. The newest edition is bigger in terms of dimensions when compared to the already existing variants of the i10. The bookings for the new Grand i10 Nios has already been commenced by the brand for a token amount of INR 11,000.
The hatchback is inspired by the style language of Hyundai Santro though features prominent changes. The cascading style grille at the front has been mated to unique headlamps while the edges have been accentuated by distinguished LED DRLs that further offers the hatchback a premium look. The floating roof effect near the C-pillar offers the Nios a rather taller look.
The stylish ORVMs and the rear bumper design add to the aggressive outlook of the hatchback. The brand is offering dual-tone alloy wheels with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios while the bigger dimensions offered to the hatchback makes way for a spacious interior.
Coming to the interiors, the dashboard setup has been redesigned by the brand while the ivory-grey upholstery adds to its premium feel. The third-gen Grand i10 has been equipped with automatic climate control, power-adjustable ORVMs, and steering-mounted infotainment plus telephony controls.
The brand is likely to equip the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios with a 1.2-litre Kappa BS6-compliant petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 83 HP. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox plus the car will also be offered with a 5-speed Smart Auto AMT gearbox. Hyundai is planning to offer 7 petrol variants of the hatchback while the diesel version of the hatchback will be available in three trims.
