2021 Mahindra Scorpio Z101 Spotted in a New Set of Photos

The 2021 Mahindra Scorpio Z101 has been spotted testing again, this time in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. As the Indian Government has eased the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions, a lot of brands have restarted testing their upcoming products. The all-new 2021 Scorpio, codenamed as Z101, looks longer than the current version of the SUV, offering big rear doors for easy ingress and egress for the second and third-row passengers.

As one can spot in the latest set of spy photos, the wheels are steel-type on the test car while the edges of the glass area of the third-row section are hidden under the camouflage. The A-pillar starts in an identical manner to the current generation Scorpio. However, the difference is clearly visible in the bonnet area as the headlight and metal bonnet combination looks different than the present-gen model.

The front end of the 2021 model of the SUV features a new grille and headlights while the tail section looks slightly rounded in comparison to the current-gen model. The glass area is slightly covered with the camouflage to keep the real profile hidden till the official debut of the car, which is expected to take place around April 2021.

The feature list of the 2021 Mahindra Scorpio Z101 will most probably include projector headlamps, LED tail lights, large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, cruise control, reverse parking camera, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and standard dual-front airbags.

In addition to this, the 2021 model of the Scorpio is expected to launch with a 1.5-litre GDi mStallion petrol engine, which would be good for 163 HP at 5,000 rpm and 280 Nm of peak torque at 1,500-4,000 rpm. More details on the all-new Scorpio are expected to surface online in the coming months.
