2021 Mahindra XUV500 Spotted; Digital Instrument Cluster Revealed: The next-gen Mahindra XUV500 has been spotted testing many times across the country, but this time, the SUV's all-digital instrument console has got leaked in a new set of spy photos. The recent test mule of the car has given us a much closer look now, and the vehicle can be seen featuring a new headlamp design with projector bulbs, LED DRLs, a new front grille, and ADAS radar plus sensors.

The interiors of the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 have also received several changes like twin horizontal mounted screens, one for the infotainment system and the second one is the instrument cluster. Other key features include a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, a dual-zone climate control system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, USB charging ports and a separate selector for the connected car system.
The 2021 XUV500 would be powered by a 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine which is expected to generate a max output of 190hp power and the other option would a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine which is expected to develop a maximum power figure of 180hp. Both the engines would come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard along with an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Earlier the plan to launch the new XUV500 was slated for April 2021, but now the chances are less that it will launch in this time frame as the carmaker has suffered huge losses due to component shortage. The demand for semiconductors from three industries of IT, Healthcare, and Consumer products has led to this shortage in supply due to the global pandemic.
Mahindra was planning to launch a total of 8 new SUVs in 2021, with the new engine and transmission options but India is lacking the key components parts extending the deadline for launches and causing a huge loss and problem to Mahindra.
