Brand-New Mahindra XUV700 Met With An Accident in Bengaluru

The latest photographs of the Mahindra XUV700 accident have been surfacing on the internet. As per the images, this accident occurred in Bengaluru. As we can see, the front fascia of the car has been badly damaged, but it is also visible that the airbags are still closed. Hence, we can hope for the safety of all passengers.

However, it’s not yet confirmed how many occupants were present in the car at that time and what their condition is right now. It seems like the mishap happened just after the delivery because it is always seen that folks get excited after getting the long-awaited thing.

The waiting period for the all-new Mahindra XUV700 is more than a year. Nonetheless, this brand new Mahindra XUV700 has been designated as the safest car in India after acquiring a 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP car crash test, but still, people need to drive wisely and shouldn’t put themselves and other people’s lives in danger.

Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV700 is available with two engine options: a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol Stallion unit and a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel mHawk unit. The petrol engine is good for a maximum power of 200HP and a peak torque of 380Nm.

Coming to the diesel engine option, it is available in two states of tune. The lower version is good for 155HP and 360Nm while the higher-spec version generates 185HP and 420/450Nm (MT/AT) of power and torque respectively.

Both the engine options can be had with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. The diesel engine also comes with 4 drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom. There is also an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) version on offer.

  • Max. Power (Option 1): 155 HP (114kW) @3750 rpm
  • Max. Torque (Option 1) : 360 Nm @ 1500 2800 rpm
  • Max. Power (Option 2): 185 HP (136kW) @ 3500 rpm
  • Max. Torque (Option 2 – MT): 420 Nm @ 1600 2800 rpm
  • Max. Torque (Option 2 – AT): 450 Nm @ 1750 2800 rpm
  • Transmission Type : 6-Speed MT or 6-Speed AT
