2020 Mahindra Bolero Variant-Wise Price List: Mahindra has recently launched the 2020 Bolero with a starting price tag of INR 7.77 lakh. The BS6-compliant Bolero is available in three variants: the base variant B4, the mid-spec variant B6 priced at INR 8.43 lakh, and the top-spec model B6(O) that costs INR 8.78 lakh. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Mumbai.
Coming to the styling, the BS6 version gets a fresh front design that includes a new bumper, grille, and headlamps. Despite the cosmetic changes, the car now complies with the new crash-test norms that were introduced in the Indian market in October last year. The BS6 Bolero also complies with the upcoming pedestrian safety norms that will be implemented in the coming October.
The 2020 Mahindra Bolero becomes the first vehicle to be sold in India with metal bumpers to pass the upcoming safety norms. Many features on the Bolero remain the same while its higher variants will now come with static bending headlamps as standard. In terms of safety, the 2020 model of the Bolero gets ABS (anti-lock braking system), driver airbag, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, and reverse parking sensors as standard.
Mechanically, the 2020 model of the BS6-compliant Bolero gets a 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel mHawk75 engine that produces 75HP of maximum power along with 210Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The brand has not introduced any of the 2020 Bolero variants with a 4-wheel-drive system. The Bolero has been among the oldest models from the brand and it is also a consistently strong seller for the brand. The sales figures show that between April 2019 and January 2020, the company sold a total of 52,828 units of the SUV. The first-gen model of the car was introduced in the Indian market back in the year 2000.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the company is keeping promotions for the updated Bolero to minimal. The next big launch for Mahindra will be in the form of second-gen Thar.
