Mahindra XUV700 will soon dethrone XUV500 from the flagship spot. The progress of testing has gone one step further as recently spied test mule shows Blue body shade and exact design details for the car. It looks huge in all aspects, filling the viewer with high levels of satisfaction when it comes to space on the inside.
The rear end of new XUV700 is classy but still hides the Mahindra moniker and engine details. The tail lights are LED type while fog lights can be seen placed on the lower edge of this bumper. Based on the new Ssangyong Rexton, the car comes with impressive structural rigidity.
The low body weight is achieved by using high strength steel and giga-steel in its construction. As the car shares the platform with an already existing product, Mahindra will have a clear advantage over rivals like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.
It seems like they will also undercut the pricing for Isuzu MUX and attract maximum SUV fans through this strategy. The car measures 4.85m in length and 1.92mm in width. Not just that, carrying 2865mm of wheelbase ensures that all seven passengers get enough legroom for short, long and even bumpy rides.
For closest comparison, one can see that Mahindra XUV700 carries 120mm more wheelbase than the Fortuner. Second-row seats are equipped with massage function and thus, one can expect a fully functional center console with every required control. Apart from the 9.2-inch, center fitted instrument console, Mahindra may offer individual rear seat entertainment system for both center seats.
Safety features like nine airbags, lane change assist, traffic alert, automatic headlights and blind spot detection will help the driver stay alert at all times. The pricing can vary between INR 23-28 lakh, depending on the option of variants by Mahindra.
