Mahindra Marazzo was recently spied resting in a dealer yard before its official unveils in September. The car is covered perfectly to hide all those added design bits, leaving no space for a guess from certain angles. The overall design is visible in these images, leaving fans clear with a fact that upper and lower grille will offer space in-between them for the number plate. Not just that, the MPV will be offered with a traditional Mahindra grill with a lesser width than a typical SUV. The headlights are in perfect sync with Innova Crysta and all new Maruti Ertiga’s design lines.
The model spotted here feels like a base variant with steel rims, manual air conditioning and basic steering wheel without any electronic features. The image for the rear seat features two captain seats with slightly compact armrests on the new Marazzo. The front shows a manual six-speed gearbox, dual tone dashboard layout and visible chrome lines on the music player area. The AC vents are left black, further solidifying the statement of this Marazzo is a base spec variant. The door trims are covered but, one can expect them to get the same dual tone finish.
Mahindra is expected to use an all-new, 1.6L engine duo for better performance and product placement in this segment. Mahindra could use the bigger 2.2L engine but that would have resulted in an increase in expected price for the car. Even if they make this engine available here, it will be offered in the same tune as Mahindra Scorpio. In comparison to Marazzo, Maruti Ertiga will use a 1.5L petrol motor to keep the cost under check. Toyota Innova Crysta, on the other hand, is available with a much bigger 2.4L and 2.8L engine. The rivalry may stay limited to Ertiga only.
