Mahindra’s next step into the compact UV segment brings the customers a known face in a new avatar. Yes, the Mahindra NuvoSport is finally here, launched with a starting price of INR 7.42 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is available in 4 trim levels and 2 gearbox options, making the total number of variants 6 for the newcomer.
The low sales of Quanto brought an end to the nameplate and Mahindra pushed in some fresh design elements for a better start for NuvoSport moniker. The front fascia has gone aggressive while nearly no change can be observed from the side as well as the rear profile. The taillights may make some change to the rear while the design is nothing new at all. The profile has been added with more rugged behavior everywhere, specially within the front bumper and overall cladding.

The spare wheel cover and rear roof spoiler add a bit of freshness while the new engine is closely related to that of the TUV300. The same 1.5L diesel unit produces 10o PS of power and 240 Nm of torque on the NuvoSport. The gearbox being offered includes a 5-speed manual and AMT unit. The chassis has undergone a major change and leaving the Xylo’s ladder frame unit, NuvoSport adopts the hydro-formed unit from new generation Scorpio and TUV300.
The top spec variant features a 6-inch display for the infotainment system, intelligent reverse parking assist, micro hybrid technology, front airbags, ABS and many other important features as standard. The car comes with separate front DRL’s and fog lamps for a relaxed drive in every weather.
