New Mahindra Thar AX 6-Seater Detailed Walkaround Video: Mahindra recently launched the all-new Thar SUV with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 9.80 lakhs for the base AX petrol 6-seater soft-top variant and INR 13.75 lakhs for the top-spec LX diesel hard-top variant. AX stands for Adventure series and LX stands for Lifestyle/Luxury series.
The AX series is only available as a 6-seater with two engine options: 2.0L petrol and 2.2L diesel, which are further mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox along with a 4-wheel-drive system as standard. In addition to the AX model, Mahindra is also offering an AX (Optional) model, which is basically a 4-seater version of AX and it also comes with an option for a hardtop or a convertible top like the LX series.
Since the official unveiling of the new Thar SUV on August 15, 2020, Mahindra’s primary focus has always been the LX model and the brand hasn’t revealed much about the AX series on its official website. Ashutosh Yadav, a YouTuber by profession, has recently posted a detailed walkaround video of the Thar AX 6-seater version explaining almost everything about the entry-level soft-top variant.
