Mahindra Thar Daybreak Edition Hard Top Launched for Rs 20 Lakh

Mahindra recently unveiled the hard top version for the Thar Daybreak Edition at Surat International Auto Expo 2017. The edition was first seen at Auto Expo 2016 while it was seen without a roof on the show. Mahindra Thar is a one of its kind SUV of India, serving as the most effective car for modifications and performance enhancement. Daybreak Edition kit costs INR 9.6 lakh while the hard top version can be had for a extra INR 1.5 lakh over the price.

Mahindra Thar Daybreak Edition Hard Top Launched for Rs 20 Lakh

Mahindra Thar costs INR 8.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the hard top kits kit adds an extra INR 11.1 lakh over the ex-showroom price. This takes the total amount to INR 20 lakh for a fully loaded Thar Daybreak Edition with Hard Top. The car comes with Matte Grey paint, LED headlamps and taillights, customized doors, raised ride height, 37 inch Maxxis Trepador tyres, Stinger bumpers with factory fitted winch and chrome finished dual exhausts.

Thar comes with two engine options while the flagship model uses 2.5 L CRDe engine producing 105 BHP at 3800 rpm and 247 Nm at 1800-2000 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The car comes with all wheel drive as standard on the top spec model. Mahindra also offers the Thar from INR 5,93,460 for the older Di engine. The car comes with 2WD on the base variant while power steering stays standard across all the models.
