DC Hammer is definitely the Mahindra Thar of your dreams. Redesigned from the core, Thar Hammer commands respect for its widebody detailing and a price tag of INR 5.95 lakh (modification cost). This pricing does not include optional features and the donor vehicle has to be submitted by the owner only.
The front fascia of Thar Hammer comes with a redesigned gloss finished bumper, projector headlights, fog lights, and wide fender mounted lights. These fenders have been custom built for best ever fitting and design enhancement.
A redesigned front grille promises bolder stance while the visible glass area has been reduced for special purpose vehicle looks on the Hammer. This modified Thar looks certainly boxy from side angles but the redesigned wheel arches help this effect feel lighter than ever. The door hinges of the SUV are large in size and have been finished in chrome.
The rear of the Hammer comes with a spare wheel mount, LED lights, and a perfectly planted glass area for parking assistance. Interior is a lovely upgrade story as no one would have ever imagined such luxury wrapped view inside a Mahindra Thar.
The interiors come with premium leather and wood finish in a bright shade. DC Design may also offer different shades as per the customer’s requirement. Interior comes with four huge circular air vents, touchscreen infotainment unit and chrome lined overall finish. The seats are also wrapped in the same leather shade as Hammer’s dashboard.
Mahindra Thar is powered by two different engine options while spending close to INR 6 lakh over the more expensive variant seems rational than the lower spec version. The 2.5L, four-cylinder diesel engine on stock Thar CRDe is good for 105 BHP and 247 Nm of torque. Mahindra is also working on the next-gen model of the Thar and it is expected to make a world debut at the Auto Expo in February 2020.
