Mahindra XUV400 Design Revealed Officially; Launch Soon!

Mahindra XUV400 Design Revealed Officially; Launch Soon!

Mahindra has released a teaser for the upcoming XUV400 electric SUV ahead of its global debut on September 8th and it reveals some interesting SUV details.

The headlights are identical to the projector units found on the XUV300. The grille, on the other hand, appears to be unique. Because the SUV is an electric vehicle, it has a jewel-like design and may not be a functional unit.

For increased dimensions, the EV has a hunched-back design at the rear. It will be longer than the XUV300, at around 4.2 metres, to accommodate the electric powertrain, rather than shorter.

It is expected to have a lot of space. The C pillar will be quite wide to allow for more space inside. Inside, the tail lights will have various design elements. The tail lights will be more angular than the current model.

The SUV is expected to be fully loaded with features. It could receive ADAS features from the XUV700. Because of the electric powertrain, it is expected to be quite powerful with excellent acceleration figures.

The upcoming XUV400 will be more expensive than the XUV300 due to the increased costs of the electric powertrain, similar to the Nexon’s electric variant. We anticipate it to be around Rs. 18-20 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The price announcement and deliveries are expected to begin in October. According to sources, the SUV will be powered by battery packs from LG Energy Solution, a subsidiary of LG Chem, which is a subsidiary of LG Corporation in South Korea.

The XUV400 will be Mahindra’s first EV venture, following the failure of the REVA, e2o Plus, and eVerito. Nexon Prime EV, Tata Tigor EV, and Nexon EV Max will compete with the electric SUV after its launch in the Indian market.
