Mahindra XUV700 Creates Record: 50,000 Units Worth Rs 9,500 Crore Booked in Just 2 Days!

The Mahindra XUV700 accomplished a milestone that no other Indian car has done before. The brand commenced the online bookings on October 7, 2021, and it is really surprising that the first batch of 25,000 units got booked in just 57 minutes. The introductory prices were applicable to the first batch only.

The bookings were reopened at 10:00 AM on October 8, 2021, and the company had to close the bookings again after a record-breaking 25,000 units sold in 2 hours only. Customers interested in purchasing the XUV700 can book through Mahindra’s website or at the authorized dealerships, but as of now, the bookings have been closed till the next official announcement.

As per the latest details available, the company has informed us that petrol-powered models will be handed over to the customers from the last week of October while the deliveries for the diesel models will be commenced from the last week of November. Owing to the positive response from the customers, Mahindra has already announced a price hike of up to Rs 50,000.

The base MX version is now priced at 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom), a Rs 50,000 increase over the previous entry price of Rs 11.99 lakh. While the fully-loaded AX7 series of XUV700 has witnessed a price increase ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000. It goes beyond doubt that Mahindra has become successful in appealing to customers by offering plenty of mind-blowing features in the XUV700. The feature list includes first-in-segment Amazon-Alexa connectivity, two 10.25-inch displays (infotainment and instrumentation) and ADAS. Other noteworthy features are a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, 360-degree camera with blind view monitor and wireless charging to name a few.

Furthermore, for passenger safety, the XUV700 comes equipped with ISOFIX child seat anchors, up to 7 airbags, an Electronic stability programme and more. The SUV has two engine options: diesel and petrol. The first is a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged mStallion petrol engine which is capable of churning out 200hp and 380nm of torque, while the other one is a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder mHawk diesel engine which gets two states of tune. For lower versions, it will produce 155hp and 360nm of torque, and for higher versions, it will be 185hp and 420nm of torque.
