Mahindra XUV700 Gold Javelin Edition Delivered to Sumit Antil and Neeraj Chopra

As promised by Mahindra & Mahindra chairman, Mr Anand Mahindra, the company produced two XUV700 gold Javelin editions for both gold medalist javelin throwers. Now, fulfilling the pledge, Mahindra has delivered the special edition XUV700 to Olympian Neeraj Chopra and Paralympian Sumit Antil.

For thanking Mr Anand Mahindra, Neeraj Chopra posted a tweet and mentioned, “Thank you, @anandmahindra Ji, for the new set of wheels with some very special customisation! I’m looking forward to taking the car out for a spin very soon.It should also be noted that Avani Lekhara, who also won a gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2020, will receive a personalised XUV700.

The new Mahindra XUV700 gold edition is prepared only to honour the gold medalists in both the Olympics and Paralympics in 2020 and features exclusive paint and logos. The first apparent difference is the gold therapy for the vertical grille slats and the brand badge on the front grille. The ochre-coloured soft-touch material on the dashboard, which has the Javelin throw emblem, golden stitching, and also the Neeraj Chopra’s Gold Edition XUV700 has 87.58 with a Javelin throw motif on the back and inside, while the Sumit Antil SUV has 68.55 logos on the rear and inside. These figures represent their javelin throw in metres.

The Mahindra XUV700 is available with both petrol and diesel engines. A 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine produces 200 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6 MT or a 6 AT transmission. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine produces 185 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque in manual mode, up to 450 Nm in AT mode. The XUV700 comes with an optional pack that includes a variety of factory-installed equipment. These kits are available for both the exteriors and interiors and are reasonably priced. Also, these accessories depend on the variants of the new SUV.
