Mahindra XUV700 MX Base Model Starts Reaching Dealerships (Live Photos)
After making its official debut on August 14, 2021, the XUV700 by Mahindra & Mahindra has become the biggest hit in its segment in the Indian market. The SUV’s waiting period is quite long for the fans who are eagerly waiting for its delivery. Now, we have got the news that the base MX variant, which is priced at Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom), has arrived at dealerships. The walkaround video has been posted by Sameerfication on his Youtube channel.
In the video, we see that the XUV700’s base variant comes with a central locking system and a flip key. At the front, there are halogen headlamps but there are no LED DRLs and the fog lamps are also missing. The turn indicators are also halogen and located on the downside of the headlamp casing. There are 17-inch steel wheels, while the top variant gets 18-inch wheels. The ORVMs are painted in gloss black and also have LED turn indicators mounted on them. The base MX variant also gets flush-seat door handles; however, they are not powered ones.
In addition, despite being the base variant, the SUV gets split LED taillamps. There is no defogger or wiper at the rear end, but it gets rear parking sensors and reflectors. When it comes to the interior, the base MX variant gets a dual-tone interior with manual air-conditioning, an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a height-adjustable driver seat, electric adjustment for ORVMs, a USB port, steering-mounted controls, and a manual parking brake. There is an analogue instrument console available with a 7-inch digital multi-information display in the centre.
Its base variant is offered in a 5-seater configuration, which means it gets plenty of boot space. Moreover, it comes with all four powered windows and rear AC vents. The XUV700 base variant gets a Type-C charging port and adjustable headrests. In terms of powertrain, the variant seen in the video is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is capable of generating 155 PS of max power and 360 Nm of max torque. Also, the XUV700 SUV’s base MX variant is front-wheel drive only.
