SRK Designs, one of the renowned rendering artists, has recently created a digital rendering of the new Thar with 5-doors and the customizer has christened the same as Armada 4×4. To jog your memory, Mahindra Armada was a 5-door utility vehicle and it was launched back in 1993 and was discontinued after around nine years in 2001.
At present, Mahindra has no immediate plans to relaunch the Armada (5-door Thar) though the brand may consider the same after 2-3 years. Here is a detailed video of how SRK Designs converted the 3-door Mahindra Thar into the 5-door Armada:

The customizer first stretched the wheelbase of the SUV to make way for the extra doors and then placed a much-better looking front grille in addition to a new set of all-LED headlights. SRK Designs has also tweaked some of the other parts of the new Mahindra Thar to make it more appealing in terms of looks.
If Mahindra plans on launching an all-new model of the Armada (5-door Thar), it would be getting the same engine options: a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion petrol engine. The mHawk130 DOHC 16-valve diesel engine is good for a maximum power of 130 BHP with a peak torque of 300 Nm.
Coming to the petrol option, the mStallion150 T-GDi DOHC 16-valve petrol engine generates a maximum power of 150 BHP along with an utmost torque of 320 Nm. The new Mahindra Armada (if it comes) will also be available with an option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox in addition to getting a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
